Optics Workbench Support

Optics Workbench v0.1.0 supports iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 17.0 or later. The app requires no account or network connection.

If a calculation is blocked, check that resolution values are positive whole numbers and that pixel size, working distance, and field of view are greater than zero.

Results are simplified engineering estimates. Verify final component selection with current vendor documentation and physical testing.

Privacy Policy

Optics Workbench does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data.

Calculations, entered dimensions, selected presets, and generated report images are processed on your device. Language, unit, recent-camera, and engineering-notice preferences are stored locally for app functionality.

The app has no account system, backend, advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party analytics SDK. A report image leaves the app only when you explicitly open the iOS Share Sheet and choose a destination.

Accessibility

Optics Workbench uses native iOS controls and supports Dynamic Type. Core diagrams provide localized text summaries, and form fields, sliders, results, lens candidates, settings, privacy statements, and sharing expose VoiceOver information.

The app supports English and Simplified Chinese, does not rely on color alone for status, and keeps long engineering screens scrollable at accessibility text sizes.

辅助功能

Optics Workbench 使用原生 iOS 控件并支持动态字体。核心光路图提供本地化文字摘要；表单、滑杆、结果、镜头候选、设置、隐私说明和分享操作均提供 VoiceOver 信息。

App 支持英文和简体中文，不只依赖颜色表达状态；较长的工程页面在辅助功能字号下仍可滚动浏览。
